Head of Ulysses – Sperlonga
The head of Ulysses is part of a giant sculpture called “Polyphemus Group” found in Sperlonga in 1957.
Polyphemus is laying drunk on a rock, and Ulysses is pointing a spear to the giant’s eye.
The Bronze head is the most iconic part of the group, beautifully chiseled, with a very intense expression.
