Faunus
The original “Dancing Faunus” is a Bronze statue discovered in the House of the Faunus in Pompei. It dates back to I/II century B.C. and was excavated in 1830.
The mold for this Bronze was made on the original statue in the 20th century from the Chiurazzi Foundry.
The result is this stunning statue of the Faunus (Faun in Roman tradition, Satyr for the Greek mythology). This statue is a handmade cast of our artists, with a very beautiful “Pompeian red” colour.
